Adam Dietrich Staley, of Green Township, passed away June 13, 2014, at age 40. He is survived by daughters Lauren Deck Staley (age 7) and Rachel Elizabeth Staley (age 4), and their mother, Heather Springmyer Staley, all of Westwood. Also surviving are his parents, Charles Paul and Barbara Deck Staley of Green Township; sister, Megan Allen Staley of Paris, France; uncle, Allen G. Deck of Los Angeles; and the Springmyer family. A cum laude graduate of Walnut Hills High School, Adam earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.S. degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. He was a licensed Professional Engineer. Adam enjoyed history, art history, astronomy, hockey, running, and summers in Ontario, Canada. He will be remembered for his spirit of volunteerism, quick wit, and friendliness. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Lauren and Rachel Staley Education Fund at any Fifth Third Bank or to St. Peter and St. Paul United Church of Christ, 3001 Queen City Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45238.
