Anthony Hugh Braun

Anthony “Tony” Braun returned to his Heavenly home on January 8, 2021, he was 79.  He is the devoted husband of Jeanette (nee Godbey) Braun. Beloved son of the late George and Edna Eugenia Braun. Loving father of Susan (Greg) Howe, Tammy (Bill) Adelhardt and Tim Braun and the late Tony “Chip” Braun and fatherly love and example for many others. Cherished grandfather of Erin (Christina) Alcorn, Heather Alcorn, Kari (Nick) McCormick, Timothy Braun, Michael Braun, Christopher (Deanna) Adelhardt, Johnathon Adelhardt, Nathan Braun, Tyler Braun, Kayley Braun, Austin Life, Hailey Life, J.R. Howe, Brittany Brownfield and the late Joshua Braun. Great-grandfather of Kaden McCormick, Lexi Alcorn, McKenzie McCormick, Dylan McCormick, Rowan McCormick and Liam McCormick. Dear brother of Dennis (Judy) Braun, Virginia Standifird, the late George (Susie) Braun and the late Donald Braun. Brother-in-law of Carol Toschlog, Roger (Darlene) Bays, Lenny (the late Judy) Bays and Butch (Marcia) Bays.

Tony was a devout family man and Christian, who always reflected kindness and generosity to family and friends. Tony was a humble servant in the United States Marine Corps, a Past Master and member of the Masons and Scottish Rite and past Deacon.

The family will host friends to a funeral service 1 PM on Thursday January 14th, at Friendship Baptist Church 8580 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45251.  Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed in the church’s spacious sanctuary.  In lieu of a public visitation, the family will ask all of the guests to write a memory of Tony, which they will read and cherish in the days ahead, writing materials will be available at the service.
