Bernard “Scott” Steinhard, 75, of Burlington, KY, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024. Born on March 13, 1949, in Cincinnati, OH, Scott lived a full and joyous life dedicated to his family, community, and passions.
Scott was a loving husband to Monna Hall Steinhard for 48 wonderful years. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter. Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Monna; his daughter, Nadine (Steinhard) Williams, and her husband, Jacob Williams; his son, Justin Steinhard, and his wife, Alejandra A. Chavero; and his cherished granddaughter, Alana Steinhard. He is also survived by his brother, John “Bruce” Steinhard, and his wife, Kathie Steinhard. Scott was predeceased by his parents, Bertram and Ruth Steinhard.
Scott retired from the Hamilton County Park District, where he served as the Comptroller for many years, demonstrating exceptional dedication and expertise. His commitment to community service was evident through his lifetime of volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America, Dan Beard Council, where he inspired many young scouts with his leadership and enthusiasm.
A man of many interests, Scott loved music and found great joy singing in the church choir throughout his life. He was an avid woodworker, creating beautiful pieces that reflected his skill and creativity. Scott also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying nature and the company of pets.
Known for his playful spirit, Scott was a man who always sought to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He was a lover of life's simple pleasures, from laughing out loud at the funny pages to making silly faces, and he delighted in trips to Mexico and savoring a good beer.
Services to honor and celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Immanuel Methodist Church (Boone County Campus), 1440 Boone Aire Rd, Florence, KY 41042. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 6:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Scott’s memory to the Boy Scouts of America or Immanuel Methodist Church, reflecting his lifetime commitment to youth and community service.
Scott’s light-hearted nature, dedication to his family, and unwavering service to the community will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
