Seitz
Clinton, E. (Clint), beloved husband of the late Jane (Clemmer) Seitz. Devoted father of Patty Dayson (Bob), Doug (Maria) Seitz, Beth Richmond (Denny), Judy Re (Marty), and Steve Seitz (Bill Kennedy). Also survived by nine grandchildren: Sara (Bob) Fawcett, Abby and Caroline Seitz, Clint and Alex Richmond, Chris (Kate) Re, Amanda, Andy and Kevin Re, and four great grandchildren. Brother of Howard, Carol Emerson, and the late Ida Blackburn and Alice Wolfe. Clint passed away peacefully on February 26th at the age of 96. He was a third generation field and greenhouse grower and operated Seitz Vegetable Gardens in Delhi. The greenhouse operation began in 1912 and closed in 1983, with the principal crop being greenhouse tomatoes. In his leisure time, Clint enjoyed fishing, having been active in several fishing organizations. He was a member of the Cheviot- Westwood Kiwanis, the Scottish Rite and Syrian Shrine. Clint was a draftee in early 1942 and attained the rank of captain by the end of WWII. He earned the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and three Battle Stars. Clint took pride in membership of the military: 12th Armored Division Association, Chapter 3620 Military Order of the Purple Heart, VFW 10380, and the Armored Club of Western Hills. He was a long time member of Westwood First Presbyterian Church, having served as a choir member, Elder, Deacon, and Trustee. In 2001, Clint moved to Twin Towers Retirement Community, where volunteering became an important part of his later life. A memorial service celebrating Clint’s life will be held on Saturday, March 7th at Westwood First Presbyterian Church, 3011 Harrison Ave. at 1:00 pm with a reception following the service.
