Daniel Lee Stapleton

Daniel (“Danny”) Lee Stapleton of Cincinnati, Ohio, unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday, April 8th at the age of 63. Danny was born to Bobby Ray Stapleton and Rachel Ann Sizemore(Farmer) on September 25th, 1961, in Covington, KY.

He is survived by his mother Rachel Sizemore, stepmother Joan Stapleton, sister Diana (Scott) Monk, sister Denise (Nick Stokas) Stapleton, sister Michelle (Barry) Monk, son Shane Stapleton (Tara Warren; children Kiara and Kainen), daughter Paige (Adam Davis) Stapleton,grandchildren Levi and Lane Davis, niece Brittany (Richard Reynoso) Monk, nephew Justin (Nicole) Stapleton, niece Leea (Coty Whiting) Monk, nephew Tyler Duggan, niece Jessica Stokas, and niece Jenna Monk.

He also leaves behind his former spouse Bridgette Hartung, her siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

Danny is preceded in death by his father Bobby Ray Stapleton, brother David Ray Stapleton,nephew Bradley Scott Monk, and stepfather Ronald Dean Sizemore.

He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals even if it was a rollercoaster ride from season to season. He loved golfing, bowling, dancing, singing karaoke, and playing cornhole. Oldies and Doo Wop were his go-to music, and he was a wonderful singer. Danny worked for Pease / Pella for over 30 years, then Summit Country Day, and his last job that he loved was working at The Beechwood Home.

Danny’s memory will be honored Saturday, April 26 th from 2-4pm at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home located at 2880 Boudinot Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45238. To honor his love for the Bengals, the family asks if you have any Cincinnati Bengals attire to please wear it.

Afterwards, we’d love to have you join us at the Delhi Pub located at 937 Devils Backbone Rd, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233 where Danny and his one of his best friends/family members Bruce Hartung would go every Monday night. 

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
