Eldon Maddux

Eldon Maddux, a respected figure in the jewelry business and a cherished Navy veteran, passed away on October 25, 2024 at the age of 99, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on November 8, 1924, Eldon lived a life marked by dedication, service, and thriving creativity. 

Eldon dedicated many years to his career in the jewelry industry, where he crafted not only exquisite pieces but also lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. His passion for his work was evident in every intricate design and every heartfelt interaction. He was known for his meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality, which earned him respect and admiration throughout the community.

A proud Navy veteran, Eldon service to his country was a significant aspect of his life. He served in WWll were he was in the 5th wave on the shores of Normandy during the D-Day invasion. He carried with him the values of duty and honor, principles that shaped his personal and professional endeavors. This service not only contributed to his character but also left a lasting impression on those around him. 

Eldon is survived by his children Rick, Kerry, Troy and Susan Maddux, who continue to carry forward his legacy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dulcie Maddux (nee Applegarth), who was a cornerstone in his life, bringing joy and support through their years together. 

As we remember Eldon Maddux, we honor a man who touched many lives with his craftsmanship, warmth, and enduring spirit. His absence will be felt deeply by those who had the privilege to know him, and his memory will forever remain a cherished part of their lives .

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00am. Procession will form at Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45238 at 10:00am to process to Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt. Moriah Dr., Cincinnati, OH  45245.
