Elizabeth H. (Holzinger), age 90, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2014, in Columbus, Ohio.  Born in Romania, of German heritage, on August 30, 1923 , she and her husband, John, escaped the hardships of post-World War II Europe in 1950 to begin a new life in Cincinnati, Ohio. Preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, she is survived by her daughter, Anne Murray and her son-in-law, Kevin; her grand-daughter Allison Howenstine and her husband Ben, great-grandchildren, Grant, Grace, and Grayson, step-grand-daughters and step-grandchildren.  She was an avid gardener, excelled at crocheting, loved animals - especially cats, and enjoyed watching movies.  She was devoted to her family and is and will be greatly missed. Visitation 12 PM to 1 PM Monday at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238. Followed by a 1:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1175 Overlook Ave., 45238. If desired, memorials may be made to S.P.C.A. Cincinnati Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45223.
