George K. Moustakis

Beloved husband of Fran Kokaliaris-Moustakis. Nephew of Georgia (Tzia) Moustakis, and Kathy Tzanne. Dear Brother of Marilenna Moustakis-Malafanti. Loving brother in law to Kostas Malafanti , John Kokaliares, Toni (Tyrone) Davidson and Demetrios Kokaliaris. Cherished uncle of Martha and Antonia Malafanti, NiKo (Chrissy) Kokaliares, Andreas (Carissa) Kokaliares, Angela Davidson, William Davidson, Kyle Kokaliares, Jeremiah Kokaliares, Christopher Kokaliares, Isiah Kokaliaris and the late Sophia Kokaliaris. Adored great uncle of Skyla and Zoe Kokaliares. Many loving family and friends.

There are not enough words that can express our sorrow over losing George. George was a soft spoken and a big- hearted soul that loved to tell a 20-minute joke. George always welcomed everyone through good and bad times. He was never judgmental. It is not going to be the same without George. You see George was a pastry chef. He was often telling us stories about how he worked at Cesar’s Palace. He and his wife were owners of Piece of Cake bakery in Cincinnati. His cheesecakes, and pastries made many memories for 25 years for several customers weddings birthdays, holidays, baptisms, or just special treats. When George married Fran, he did not understand that she came with a big package…her family ߘŠ. He became a “Kokaliaris” and he was one of us. If he would have realized that was part of the package before he said “I do” he may have run. George is best known as “Uncle George” by all the nephews, nieces, and his great niece. His nickname was “The Professor” as he was so intelligent. He loved all his nephews, nieces, and great niece and showed it in his special way. He always wanted to spoil them with gifts and would make their favorites treats. He would always stay up all night fixing sweets, cooking, and surprising his family with different tastes. John remembers George by his motto. Any time John complained George would say “You’re the one that wanted rental property”. He did the best for his family and what more could we ask. He never failed to put a smile on your face and was there for the good times and bad. George you will be greatly missed. Thank you for loving Fran and her family and everything you did. Your patience, kindness and soft heartedness will leave an impression for years to come. We could not have asked for a better brother-in-law.
