Gladys I. Groger (nee Cromer) was devoted wife of William J. Groger, loving mother of Shirley (Frank) Harding, Darrell (Carole) Proffitt, Carolyn Proffitt, J. Dale Proffitt, Linda (Gary) Mounts, Karen (Timothy) Beckerich, William K. (Rita) Groger, Debbie Ishmael and the late Eugene and Ruby Ann Proffitt, beloved grandmother of Richard, Michael, Sandra, Timothy, Sheila, Sarah, Raymond, Mike, Becky, Steven, Jennifer, Kimberly, Missy, Angela, Tony, April, Jennifer, Stephanie, Annette, Donny and the late Steve, also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and dear sister of Lena Brown, Esther Patton and the late Kermit Cromer and the late Ruby Maybrier. Tuesday, December 9, 2003. Age 80 years. Funeral service Saturday, 11 AM, at the Western Hills Church of Christ. Visitation Friday from 5 to 8 PM at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue at Queen City.
