WEHMANN
Iola (Mickey) Emilia (Gulino) passed away on March 25 at the age of 92. She was born on September 23, 1922 to the late Celestine (Regnetti) and Emilio Gulino. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Wehmann, whom she married in 1947, and her brothers, Vasco and Ateo Gulino. Iola is survived by her six children, Jeanine Stutler, Sharon (Michael) Bennett, Thomas (Stacey) Wehmann, Steven (Doris) Wehmann, Barbara Wehmann (Ed Lentz); Donna (Rodney) Creighton. She was a dedicated and loving mother and homemaker; wife for 50 years; and devoted grandmother and great grandmother to twenty eight children. Loving aunt of Denny Gulino and Talia Gulino Dillahey. Iola was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Mt. Auburn and was a Woodward High School graduate. Her parents were Italian immigrants. She was a funny, witty, loving, compassionate, and intelligent woman who completed two years of business college. Iola was an avid card player, and lover of flowers and animals. Sadly, in 2008 she began a journey into dementia. She left us, not all at once, but in a wrenching succession. One moment she was with us, and then the next moment she was gone again, and each journey took her a little farther. If she no longer knew us, she still heard our voices and knew the warmth of a hug, a touch and a smile as we traveled to the end beside her. Services will be held at Dalbert, Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45238, Visitation 1 PM Tuesday, March 31, followed by a 2 PM Blessing Service at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please remember Iola with donations to a non-profit close to her heart, an organization formed to help those with a rare disease: Fabry Support & Information Group (FSIG); 108 NE 2nd Street, Suite C; P.O. Box 510; Concordia, MO 64020.
