Howard, beloved husband of Virginia Hayes (nee Fahey), cherished father of Barbara (David) Manuel and the late William Hayes, loving grandfather of nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, dear brother of Ruth Appleby and the late Robert Hayes.
