James H. Wollenhaupt

James H. Age 91.  Devoted husband of the late Esther M. (Runck) Wollenhaupt for 54 years.  Loving father of Kathy C. (David) Monk of Chicago Margaret L. (Richard) Biedel of New York City and the late J. David Wollenhaupt.  He is the son of the late Harry (Whitey) Wollenhaupt and Charlotte (Montgomery) Wollenhaupt.  Cherished grandfather of Dina and Julia Monk and Lauren Biedel.  He was an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Western Hills High School class of 1940 and attended The University of Cincinnati earning a BA in 1947, and a MA in 1952.  He served in the US Marine Corps and Reserves for 6 ½ years, the Ohio National Guard for 16 years and retired as a Major.  James was a teacher, assistant principal, retiring as principal in the Cincinnati Public Schools for 32 years, and worked 10 years for Rutenschroer Floral Co.  He was also a proud member of the Cheviot-Western Hills Kiwanis.  Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation Saturday June 21, from 11 AM until time of memorial service at 12 Noon at Llanfair Chapel 1701 Llanfair Avenue Cincinnati, Ohio 45224.  If desired, memorial contributions may be given in James’ memory to: The Boy Scouts of America 10078 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241, The Drop Inn Center 217 W. 12^th Street Cincinnati, Ohio 45202 or The Cincinnati Association for the Blind 2045 Gilbert Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45202.  Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home Serving the Family.
