John "Jack" Bender

BENDER,
John S. Sr. Passed September 29, 2011 at the age of 91. Born August 13, 1920, attended St. William and Resurrection Schools. Graduate of St. Xavier High School, class of 1938. Preceded in death by his late wife Betty (nee Wall) Bender, his son John Stephen Bender Jr. and his parents. Father of John and the late Patricia O'Dowd Bender, Barbara (the late Jim) Meadows, Judi Bender and Sally (Patrick) Ewing. Grandfather of Chris, Shawn, Stephen, Jessica and Dylan, fourteen great-grandchildren and two step granddaughters. Mr. Bender was retired from General Electric and Keller's Food Market. John was involved with St. Vincent DePaul and a faithful member of St. Antonius Church. He will be remembered for his love and kindness. Thanks Ann, Mickey, Jack, Jean and Bob!
