Lucretia Izora (Ikey) Johnson, 93, of Punta Gorda, FL died peacefully in Cincinnati, OH on March 26, 2017. Ikey was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Neil Johnson, and by two of her children: Kathy Jo and Russell Lee, two sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by her sister, Thata Maxine, and her children Judith (Greg) O'Connell, Jon (Vikki), Joyce, Mollie (Michael) Wilke, Daniel (Shari), Margaret, and Edith.
Ikey was born in Clymer, PA to Richard and Mollie (Trimble) Blose on August 12, 1923. Her lifelong focus was family and faith. She loved all: her nine children, fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. As an active member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, she was a leader in the Women's Prayer Fellowship, and most recently involved in the Alliance Stamp Ministry. Ikey will be remembered for her giving spirit, big smile, warm hug, quick wit, and her ability to look at life through rose colored glasses. Memories of Ikey will also often include two of her favorite things: the Cincinnati Reds and Skyline chili - she enjoyed the simple pleasures.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday May 27, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at the Alliance Church, 7500 Florida Street, Punta Gorda, FL, 33950. A picnic will follow at Port Charlotte Beach Park, 4500 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952
