Martha E. Graff

GRAFF, Martha Elizabeth, beloved daughter of the late Theodore W. and Mary Walker Graff, dear sister of the late Eleanor Graff. Also survived by cousins Robert (Alice) Coyne, Eleanor Adzie, William Colville, Julia Fleicher, Carol Wheeler (all of Newark, OH), Lillian Lovell of Columbus, OH, and James (Nancy) Siegel of Granville, OH. Special friend of Kathleen Grant (Tim Lambrechts), Richard (Patricia) Grant and James (Nancy) Grant, and their children Rick, James, Alex, Chris, Aaron and Patrick. Martha was born February 3, 1920 and was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Newark Ohio, where she was a member for 52 years. In 1982 she transferred her membership to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Cincinnati Ohio. She was a 1937 graduate of Newark High School and a 1941 graduate of the Christ Hospital School of Nursing. Martha held many different positions while at Christ Hospital from a staff nurse to a Evening Director until she retired in 1985. She also served three years as a nurse in the Army during WWII, obtaining rank of Captain. Friday May 26, 2006. Age 86 years. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening 5 to 7 PM at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave and Queen City Ave. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Werk Rd.
