Marva Joyce (nee King), loving mother of Denny B.Thomas and Melody(Gary) Thomas Nordmoe, adoring grandmother of Katelyn, Kyle, Nick and Justine Thomas, great-grandmother of Emily Thomas and Austin Mullikin. Marva was born and raised in Cincinnati with music always playing a very important part in her life. She performed as a Square Dancer with Estil McNew's Kentucky Briar Hoppers on WLWT's Midwestern Hayride. Marva was Past Matron and a 60 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Many members enjoyed her vocal solos. She retired from the Kroger Company's Corporate Offices. Marva, who was most loved for her smile, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 29, 2008. Join us for a celebration of Marva's Life on Saturday (12-6-08) for visitation with the family from 3 PM until time of the Cardinal Chapter #140 O E S and Memorial Services at 4 PM at the Cedars of Lebanon Chapel of Spring Grove Cemetery.
