MARY PHILLIPS GALLAGHER
Mary Rebecca Phillips Gallagher, 92, after a short illness, went to be with her God on Monday, March 29, 2010 while at Mercy Franciscan Hospital -Western Hills.
Mary was born July 9, 1918 in Marion County, Indiana, the daughter of Elizabeth Steele and Emery Phillips. During her childhood, the family moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. After high school graduation, Mary was a receptionist and secretary for several doctors groups.
She was married to Frank J. Hogan and John Joseph Gallagher, who predeceased her. Her brother Thomas W Phillips also predeceased her.
Mary was an active volunteer in the gift shop of Mercy Franciscan- Western Hills Hospital with over 10,000 service hours. The family expresses their gratitude to the Doctors and Staff at Mercy Franciscan Hospital, and the Staff at Mercy Franciscan Adult Living-West Park for their care and devotion .
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and the Auxiliary.
Survivors include a cousin, John C Nichols II, and wife Joyce, Oro Valley, AZ; nieces and nephews; Evelyn Walters, her dearest friend of many years; Thomas and Suzanne Walters; and Bernice Schaefer, all of Cincinnati, OH.
Visitation Tuesday at 10:30 AM followed by Blessing Service at 11:30 AM at the Dalbert & Woodruff, & Isenogle Funeral Home , 2880 Boudinot Ave., 45238. Interment Thursday 10 AM at St Joseph New Cemetery. If desired, memorials may be made to Mercy Foundation's Angel Care Fund, 4600 McAuley Place, Cincinnati, OH 45242, or donor's favorite charity.
