Monica Ligia Corleanca passed away peacefully on October 9, 2022 at the age of 84. Born in Tulcea, Romania in 1938, Monica earned a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering in Romania. She later immigrated to the United States where she became a naturalized citizen and lived in New York for a number of years before settling permanently in Cincinnati. She was a Senior Scientist and Team Technical Expert at Fluor Daniel Fernald. Monica was a member of the American Chemical Society, American Nuclear Society, American Institute of Chemical Engineers, and Health Physics Society.
Monica had a fondness for animals, classical music, fine art and architecture. She traveled extensively and maintained lasting friendships with those she met throughout her life. Monica was an avid reader, talented cook, gifted artist and devoted friend. She will be mourned and greatly missed by many.
