Monica B. Terhar

Monica B. Terhar passed peacefully on September 4th, 2024, at the age of 66. Loving sister of Lou (Debe) Terhar, Nancy (Frank) Terhar, Tina (Doug) Schack, Mark (Gretchen) Terhar, Julie (Chris) Schaber, Stacie (Randall) Locke, Kurt (Tina) Terhar and the late Greg (Meg) Terhar. Adored aunt of Heather (Dave) Hindman, Evan (Stephanie) Terhar, Marc (Jen) Terhar, Louis Terhar III, Becky Bertram, Jeff Bertram, Craig Schack, Matt (April) Schack, Ben (Easley) Schack, Alexandra (Matthew) Maus, Maxwell (Catherine) Terhar, Jared (Desi) Schaber, Chad (Katie) Schaber, Kathryn Schaber, Samuel Contreras, Lyle (Brittany) Terhar, Kevin Terhar, Molly (Jason) Re and Greg (Dawn) Terhar. She is also survived by 18 cherished great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of friends.

After graduation from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Monica started her varied professional careers as a medical technician. She went back to school and received her Master’s degree to become a clinical data analyst. Several years later, she again furthered her education to become a certified dietitian. She was passionate about her family and friends and always willing to babysit and dog sit. She loved family gatherings and could always be counted on to bring a delicious dessert. Monica was an avid crafter, crocheting a baby afghan for each new family or friend’s addition, sewing one of a kind Halloween costumes for her nieces and nephews, cross stitching personalized Christmas ornaments, and creating beautiful quilts and window treatments. She enthusiastically enjoyed the arts; a season ticket holder for the Cincinnati Opera and Ballet, and she attended plays at many venues.

 Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, September 9, 2024 from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at the Norman Chapel of Spring Grove Cemetery. A Blessing Service will follow at 1:30 p.m. and she will be laid to rest beside her late mother and father at Spring Grove Cemetery.
