Nikolaus Kampf departed this life on July 24, 2021 at the age of 86. Nikolaus was born in the former Yugoslavia and immigrated to the United States with his parents Peter Kampf and Magdalena (Kanton) Kampf and siblings in 1957. Settling in Cincinnati, he met his future wife Josefine Kampf (nee Schwarz). They were blessed with 61 years of marriage and a loving family, including their children Helen (Terry) Hoffmann, Josef (Sheryl) Kampf, cherished grandchildren Kyle (Taylor Hornschemeier) Hoffmann, Andrew Kampf, Lisa (Brent) Hoffmann-Beaudoin, Heather (Andy) Hochstetter, and great grandchildren Lily Hochstetter and Ben Hochstetter. Nick is also survived by his siblings Jack (Cheryl) Kampf, Maggie (the late David) Leisure, and nieces and nephew Heidi (Mike) Phillips, Cindy (Paul) Ryan and David Leisure III.
Nick was a talented custom cabinet maker and loved woodworking. He was also one of the founding members of SAY Soccer in 1967. That passion for soccer led him to become a coach, high school and college referee. He was also a long-time member of the Donauschwaben Society.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Friday, July 30th from 9:00 a.m. until time of blessing service at 11:00 a.m., all taking place at the Dalbert Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45238.
