Philomena T. (nee Doll), beloved wife of the late Bernard A. Wernke, loving mother of Carolyn (Jim) Shipman, Edith Wernke and her special friend Don Welch, cherished grandmother of Kendall (Dave) Hoover and Lori (Jeff) Haro and great-grandmother of Alex and Carson Hoover and Rachel and Jackson Haro, preceded in death by twelve brothers and sisters, also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. Philomena was a homemaker. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Age 98 years. Visitation Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M., at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Ave. at Queen City Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 10 A.M. Wednesday, at St. Pius X Church, 1662 Blue Rock Rd., Cincinnati, OH. Interment at St. Joseph New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Carolyn or Edith at 3500 High Ridge Dr., SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 for the benefit of Cedar Rapids flood victims.
