WILLIAMS
ROBERT MARQUARDT, passed into Eternal Life on Friday, March 13, 2009, in Jacksonville, Florida at age 88. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife, MARJORIE OPAL (PINKERMAN), of 60 years. He was the devoted father of BARBARA GAIL (NEIL BLAINE) GRISSOM of Neptune Beach, FL; cherished grandfather of WESLEY LAINE GRISSOM of Atlantic Beach, FL; and dear brother of JOHN MARQUARDT (JUDI) WILLIAMS of Howard, OH. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, JOHN BURNS and WILHELMINE CHRISTINE (MARQUARDT) WILLIAMS and his sister, HELEN MARQUART (ARTHUR) STAEBLER. Robert is also survived by countless nieces and nephews. Robert retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1980 with 30 years of service. He was stationed at Wilmington, Ohio and later Columbus, Ohio. He was also an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. Robert was a Past Master and a 50-year member of McMillan Lodge #141 F&AM; a member of the Scottish Rite; and Past Patron of McKinley Chapter #143 OES and Columbian Chapter #339 OES. Robert graduated from North High School, Columbus, OH, in 1938 and remained a member in good standing of the "Old North Hi Club". He also attended Ohio State University. Robert retired from Monarch Construction Company in 1985. Robert was a member of Westwood United Methodist Church, Wesmates, McMillan Lodge #141 F&AM, Valley of Cincinnati AASR, Old North Hi Club, and Air Force Sergeants Association. Robert's presence will be deeply missed by family and friends alike. Friday, March 13, 2009, in Florida. Friends and family will be received at Dalbert, Woodruff and Isenogle Funeral Home, 2880 Boudinot Avenue, on Thursday, March 19 from 6 to 8pm. With Masonic lodge services at 7:30 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, March 20, 10:00 AM, at the funeral home, with interment and military service immediately following at Crown Hill Memorial Park on Pippin Road. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Shriners Hospitals for Children-Cincinnati, 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.
