Thomas J. "Tom" Vogelpohl passed peacefully on September 9th, in the presence of his loving wife Marilyn (Birri) Vogelpohl, after a brief battle with cancer. He was 75. He is the loving father of Robin Vogelpohl and the late Kimberly Lintz & Michele Higgins. He is the cherished grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by a host of in laws, friends and neighbors.
Tom had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and flying, for which he held a Commercial Pilot's License. As a member of the Quiet Birdmen, the Greater Cincinnati Airmen's Club and the Flying Knights, Tom shared his passion with a number of Cincinnati and Port Orange area flight enthusiasts. He was also a member of the LL Motorcycle Club. After retiring in Cincinnati, where he was a Director of Information Systems for Queen City Metro, he and Marilyn moved to the Port Orange, Florida area.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom's life by attending a visitation on Wednesday Sept. 14th from 5-8 PM at the Dalbert, Woodruff & Isenogle Funeral Home 2880 Boudinot Ave. and a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10:30 AM at St. Stephen Church, 3804 Eastern Ave, Cincinnati, OH.
