Violet W. York, 90, passed away peacefully at her home in Manlius, NY on Wednesday, May 27. Violet lived in Cincinnati, OH all of her life before moving to Manlius, NY with her son and family in 2006. She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond O. York. Violet is survived by her son, Raymond G.; daughter-in-law Patricia McGinnis; grandsons Gregory and Daniel; and grandson, Donavan (Beverly) and great-grandchildren Raven, Logan and Madison, of Cincinnati, OH; and her sister, Lorraine Essell, of Cincinnati, OH, and cousins, nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to Christian Brothers Academy (Fine Arts Department), 6245 Randall Road, Syracuse, NY 13214, or to Hospice of CNY, 990 Seventh North Street, Liverpool, NY 13088-6148. Funeral service will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 2 at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 4418 Bridgetown Road, Cincinnati, OH 45211. Visitation will be on Monday, June 1 at 6-8pm at Dalbert & Woodruff, 2880 Boudinot Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45238
