Bill R. Tillinghast, of Sayler Park, passed away suddenly on November 28th, at the age of 57. He was the beloved son of Catherine Mokry and the late Bruce (Doris) Tillinghast. Survivors include his very dear son, Ben Tillinghast of Cold Spring, Kentucky, and former spouse Heidi Tillinghast. Four brothers and one sister: Mark Tillinghast and partner Jim Oliver of Atlanta, Georgia, David and Joel Tillinghast of Cincinnati, Ohio, Andy (Jane) Tillinghast of Palm Springs, California, Carrie Tillinghast and Moe Khalaf of Cincinnati, Ohio, two nieces: Roxann Tillinghast (Roberto) and six children of Cincinnati, Ohio, Amber Everman, Matt and four children of Harrison, Ohio. Bill is also survived by many special friends.
Bill was a river-boat captain and pilot for Exxon and later for Kirby Inland Marine. He was a loving father, who loved hiking at Shawnee Lookout with his son, fishing, carpentry, and music.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation Thursday Dec. 3rd, from 12 Noon until time of service at 2 PM, at the Cedars of Lebanon Chapel located on the grounds of Spring Grove Cemetery: 4521 Spring Grove Avenue 45232.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
